We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Freight Brokers to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads and secure new business through cold calling, cold emailing, and networking with shippers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, dispatchers and factoring companies fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate competitive rates and terms of service for both shippers and carriers.
- Source and secure qualified carriers for assigned shipments, considering factors like lanes, routes, and equipment availability.
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of US geography to optimize shipping routes and costs.
- Manage the entire shipment lifecycle, ensuring timely pick-up, delivery, and clear communication with all parties involved.
- Track shipment progress, resolve any issues that may arise, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a strong understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of freight contracts.
- Utilize industry-leading software and tools to manage leads, quotes, bookings, and documentation.
- Foster long-term partnerships with shippers and carriers through excellent communication and relationship management.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the freight brokerage or logistics industry.
- A proven track record of success in building strong relationships with clients and vendors.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Graduates with fluency in US English.
- A strong understanding of US transportation regulations and legal terms used in contracts.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computers and freight brokerage software tools.
- A proactive, independent, and results-oriented work style with a focus on quality.
- The ability to work within a US time zone.
Must Have an existing book of business.
